Swimming with Natural Hair

As the temperatures continue to climb, so will your need to cool down. Before you take a delicious dip in that pool – be sure to protect your natural curls, coils and waves from the damaging effects of chlorine. First things first, wet your hair with a spray bottle and then gently coat hair with coconut oil. Be sure to include your scalp and ends.

The reason this method works so well is that oil and water don’t mix so the hair coated in coconut oil acts as barrier to the chlorine in the pool.

We love sharing hair healthy tips. Happy swimming!
